Team Service has completed an important project at Chicopee Ski & Summer Resort in Kitchener (Ontario, Canada), one of the country’s most historic ski areas. Founded in 1934, Chicopee welcomes thousands of winter and summer sports enthusiasts every year.

Two new TS-Premium carpet lifts, measuring 250 and 456 feet, have been installed to significantly improve access to the ski slopes. With a width of 47″, each lift can transport two people side by side, doubling capacity and increasing the station’s flow to 3,600 people per hour. This helps reduce waiting times and enhances the overall experience for skiers and snowboarders.

A third TS-Premium carpet lift of 584 feet is currently under installation and will be ready for the start of the upcoming ski season.

The main features and options of the three new carpet lifts include state-of-the-art technical solutions designed to improve safety, functionality, and user comfort:

• Automatic tensioning system
  All three lifts are equipped with an automatic pump directly connected to the PLC. Once the desired pressure to keep the rubber belt under tension is set on the touchscreen, the pump automatically adjusts the values according to load and external temperature, ensuring constant performance.

• Integrated rotating brush
  Installed under the drive roller, the brush removes any snow deposits from the belt. This prevents snow from being carried underneath the line of the carpet during its return to the bottom station, ensuring smoother operation and reducing maintenance needs.

• Polycarbonate cover with LED lighting
  Each carpet lift is fitted with a full-cover transparent polycarbonate structure Large model, providing protection from the elements and greater comfort for users. The system is integrated with programmable LED lighting, managed by a control unit that allows operators to set different light effects according to their preferences. This not only enhances visibility at night but also creates a unique atmosphere on the slopes.
